ZOOM and PAN command

ZOOM and PAN command in AutoCAD 2012

Now, I will explain another command in AutoCAD. What is it ? Yaps, Zoom and PAN command.
Do you know the usefulness of the command in AutoCAD ? Let's check the explaination.

  • ZOOM command
ZOOM command is a command that used for enlarge or minimize objects on the display screen of
          AutoCAD.

  • PAN command
PAN command is a command for move objects on the screen display of AutoCAD.

Practicing making Arc and Circle object

Resuming the previous object, now you will try to enlarge a full screen object display using a Zoom-Extents. Then, you enlarge one piece of object using Zoom-Window. Doing PAN command for shift the display. The last one is doing Zoom-All for seeing the overall object.

  1. Resuming the previous example.
  2. You run the ZOOM-Extents command for make objects appear one full screen

ARC and CIRCLE command

ARC and CIRCLE command in AutoCAD 2012

Do you know what is ARC and CIRCLE command? Do you know what is usefulness in AutoCAD ? This is the explanation :
  • ARC command
ARC command is a command which used for making arc object in AutoCAD.

  • CIRCLE command
CIRCLE command is a command which used for making circle object in AutoCAD.

Practicing making Arc and Circle object

 a. Making Arc

In this example, you will make an arc object with three point.

  1. First, you erase all object with ERASE command. After this, type ALL and press enter. And then, press enter once again.
  2. You type ARC command and press Enter.

      3. Look at picture 1.7. You click in P1, P2, P3 position and press enter.

       4. Look at picture 1.7.1 You make an three point arc object with follow the picture hint and this step.

           Command : ARC
Specify start point of arc or  [Center] : (click P1)
Specify second point of arc or [Center/End] : (click P2)
Specify end point of arc : (click P3)

b. Making Circle with center point method

The first example for making a circle is make a circle with center point method. In here, you must set center point first, and then you set the radius or diameter from the circle.

For this example you requested to make a center method circle with radius of the circle 5.

  1. First, you erase all object with ERASE command, and type ALL. And then, you press Enter once again.
  2. You type CIRCLE command and press Enter. Then you click in center of AutoCAD 2012 screen,  and type radius of the circle 5. Below is a complete explanation.
          Command : CIRCLE
Specify center point for circle or [3P/2P/Ttr (tan tan radius)] : (click in clik in center of AutoCAD
          2012 screen)
Specify radius of circle or [Diameter] : 5

c. Making Circle with three point method

Another method to make a circle is You must set three point for make a circle object.

  1. You erase all object with ERASE command. Type ALL and press Enter. And press Enter once again.
  2. You type CIRCLE command and press Enter.

     4. Look at picture 1.7.4 You make an three point circle object with follow the picture hint and this step.

        Command : CIRCLE
Specify center point for circle or [3P/2P/Ttr (tan tan radius)] : 3P
Specify first point on circle : (click P1)
Specify second point on circle : (click P2)
Specify third point on circle : (click P3)

d. Making Circle with two point method

The next method for making a circle is You must set two point for make a circle object.

  1. You erase all object with ERASE command. Type ALL and press Enter. And press Enter once again.
  2. You type CIRCLE command and press Enter.

   4. Look at picture 1.7.6 You make an three point circle object with follow the picture hint and this step.

        Command : CIRCLE
Specify center point for circle or [3P/2P/Ttr (tan tan radius)] : 2P
Specify first point of circle's diameter : (click P1)
Specify second point of circle's diameter : (click P2)

e. Making Circle with TTR method

TTR is acronym from tangent-tangent radius. The function of this method is that you can make a circle between two objects. For examples you can use to make a circle in a corner of the object.

In this example you create an object using the RECTANG command. You create a circle object in one corner of the square.

  1. You erase all object with ERASE command. Type ALL and press Enter. And press Enter once again.
  2. You make Rectangular object size 10x10 with RECTANG command.
          Command : RECTANG
Specify first corner point or [Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width] : (click in clik in center of
          AutoCAD 2012 screen)
Specify other corner point or [Area/Dimension/Rotation] : @10,10

    4. Look at picture 1.7.8 You make a circle in bottom left corner of rectang with radius 2 using TTR
method. Follow the picture hint and this step.

        Command : CIRCLE
Specify center point for circle or [3P/2P/Ttr (tan tan radius)] : TTR
Specify point on object for first tangent of circle : (click P1)
Specify  point on object for second tangent of circle : (click P2)
        Specify radius of circle <3.3917> : 2
